Nevada could be hit with a higher state unemployment insurancetax in 2013. The state Employment Security Council has recommended the averagetax go from 2 percent to 2.25 percent, an increase of $67 per worker.The final rate will be set in December, taking into accountthe recommendation of the council. The state council, during a four-hourmeeting, was presented with myriad options, including boosting the state rateto 3 percent.
