1099 Printing Guide for QuickBooks Online

I've received the most blog hitscoming from searches for my blog on 1099 Printing Guidelines. With that in mind, I amposting an instruction sheet for QuickBooks Online users. I hope you find ithelpful.
1. Once in QuickBooks Online, click on the Vendors Tab.2. Click on the VendorList Tab.3. Navigate to the bottom left of the page and click thePrepare 1099-Misl. Forms Button.4. Now there will be a series of 3 steps to go through: (a)Set up Vendors and Accounts, (b) Preview 1099 and 1096 Forms, and (c) Print ore-file forms.
      a. Click on Select Vendors            i. In the windowthat appears, add vendors to the tracking payment column and click OK.            ii. Now that youare back in the regular click on Assign Payments which islocated underneath Select Vendors.            iii. On the leftcolumn in the new window under 1099 Information you will select NonEmployee Compensation (Box 7) and in the right hand column, directlyacross from Box 7 you will select the account to use. You can select multipleaccounts and add more than one. When you are done click OK.
      b. Now under preview 1099 and 1096 Informationyou can check to make sure there is no missing information. If there is,it will be highlighted in red. All you have to do is click on the red link andfix the missing information. You cannot move forward unless allmissing information is fixed.
            TIP: Keep inmind all credit card or 3rd party payments are automatically excluded on 1099'son QuickBooks Online.
      c. Now you can PRINT
           TIP: Keep inmind you cannot print the 1096 Form on QuickBooks Online. You can only printthe 1099 from; however, the system does run a summary for your 1096 from. Itwill be presented in a Summary Table that shows the total number of forms thatneed to be filed and the total of all payments.
